As part of our sustainable development strategy, we have launched an ambitious project to implement a photovoltaic system at Tiger Somes Impex Dej. This initiative aims to reduce our carbon footprint and optimize operational costs by using solar energy to power our production activities.
The photovoltaic system at Tiger Somes Impex is designed to maximize energy efficiency through a hybrid configuration, which includes solar panels installed both on the ground and on the rooftops of buildings, aiming to achieve a total of 2023 e/v. This approach improves the use of available spaces, ensuring sustainable and efficient energy production, thereby contributing to reducing grid consumption and optimizing operational costs.
The project includes the installation of a solar panel system with a capacity of 1.48 MW DC and 1.20 MW AC, ensuring an estimated annual production of 1.623 GWh. It is designed to operate with a load factor of 1.23 and a performance coefficient of 82.1%, which guarantees optimal efficiency in converting solar energy into usable electricity.
The estimated monthly electricity production from the photovoltaic system installed at Tiger Somes Impex reflects seasonal variations in energy production, influenced by factors such as solar radiation intensity, daylight duration, and weather conditions.
Summer months (May – August): Production reaches maximum values, exceeding 200,000 kWh per month, due to extended sun exposure and increased solar radiation intensity.
Winter months (November – February): The lowest production levels are recorded, under 100,000 kWh per month, due to shorter days and the reduced angle of the sun’s rays.
Transitional seasons (March – April and September – October): Production is intermediate, with gradual increases in the spring and a decrease in the fall.
- Reducing energy dependence – The system will significantly contribute to reducing the consumption of electricity from the national grid, increasing the company’s energy autonomy.
