Company TIGER SOMES IMPEX SA was founded in 1992, as a joint stock company RO-IT. In the first years of activity TIGER SOMES IMPEX SA conducted trading activities both on the Romanian and foreign markets. Starting 1994 the production of polyethylene coated packaging begins.
During 1994 – 1998 2 polyethylene extrusion lines are purchased along with printing and cutting machines. The number of employees grows from 4 in 1992 to over 40 in 1998.
In 1998 our company invests in a new domain – printing of BOPP flexible packaging, cast , paper + Aluminum. In 1999 a flexographic printing machine up to 6 colours is purchased.
In 2002 we begin the construction of a new industrial facility of approximately 2000 m2followed by the purchasing in 2003 of a new printing machine up to 8 colours and a laminator.
Between 2004 -2007 SC Tiger Somes Impex reaches a turnover of approximately 10 mil Euro resulted from the production process.
In 2007 SC Tiger sells the flexible packaging division to a foreign investor, continuing the production of PE coated paper and the trading activity.
The turnover of S.C. TIGER SOMES IMPEX S.A. reached 17 million Euro in 2011, about 8 million Euro obtained from the production of PE coated paper while the rest being obtained from the trade activity with products destined for the pulp and paper industry.
With almost 2 decades of experience in the field, our company is at the present moment the biggest producer of PE coated paper in Romania and looks with confidence to the future. We respond promptly to the varied demands of the market offering to our clients a wide range of quality paper products.
